Why AyaSilky Exists
Why does hosiery talk so much about how it looks — and so little about how it feels?
AyaSilky began with a simple observation: hosiery is usually judged by how sheer it looks, how polished it appears, or how well it completes an outfit — even though the fabric sits directly against the skin for hours.
Founded by a couple working in education, AyaSilky grew from a shared interest in materials, texture and the small sensory details that make everyday things noticeably better to use.
We wanted to build sheer hosiery around a different starting point: not only how it looks on the body, but how finely, lightly and smoothly it feels while you wear it.

When there is so little material between the fabric and the skin, every detail becomes easier to notice: yarn fineness, knit density, surface texture, construction and the way the hosiery follows the body.
That is why AyaSilky began here. We are not trying to make hosiery do everything. We began with ultra-sheer styles because they make material quality and tactile refinement unusually direct.
