Ultra-Fine Yarn

0D–5D construction keeps the fabric exceptionally light and sheer against the skin. 

In the technical standards supplied for AyaSilky products, the collection operates within an ultra-fine 0D–5D range, compared with a more conventional ultra-sheer range of approximately 5D–15D.

The lower the denier, the less material is required to create the layer against the skin.

That contributes directly to:

  • greater transparency
  • lower perceived weight
  • a more barely-there feel

High-Density Knitting

High-density knitting construction creates a finer, smoother and more uniform knit surface.

AyaSilky products are produced using circular hosiery machines with 512 to 648 needles, compared with the 400–450 needle range referenced in our manufacturing benchmark. A higher needle count creates a denser and more finely structured knit surface. In practical terms, that means: smaller visual openings, a more refined surface and a smoother tactile impression.

This is one of the structural foundations behind AyaSilky’s silky-smooth feel.

3D Shaping

Traditional hosiery can be constructed around a relatively straight tubular shape. AyaSilky uses a 3D curved construction for the leg and foot, designed to follow the natural contours of the body more closely. This structure creates gentle, distributed pressure along the leg rather than relying on a simple straight-tube form.

The result is designed to help the hosiery:

  • follow the natural leg shape
  • sit more evenly against the skin
  • reduce slipping
  • reduce bunching and stacking

Sensory comfort is not only about the surface you touch.

It is also about how quietly the garment stays in place once you are wearing it.
